Archers Of Loaf is back and busy as ever, as it plans to reissue all of its albums via Merge. First up is 1993’s Icky Mettle, which will feature the entire Archers Of Loaf Vs. The Greatest Of All Time EP and include singles and b-sides that the band has collected since the Icky Mettle era. After the band broke up in 1998, a few members pursued solo projects, but they were back with a surprise show this January opening for Love Language at the Cat’s Cradle in North Carolina. The other three albums, Vee Vee (1995), All The Nation’s Airports (1996) and White Trash Heroes (1998), are due for reissues next year.

The Chapel Hill indie rockers formed in 1991, paving the way for underground music with four studio albums and multiple tours over the years. But love for the Loaf still exists since its heyday as evidenced by sold-out shows on the reunion tour.
