Orange County, California’s Aloe Blacc, has announced he will be touring the United States late this spring/early this summer. The soul singer with the vintage voice is currently rapping things up in Europe where he has hit nearly every corner of the continent. The tour has paid off: Blacc’s latest album and single are climbing the charts over there. His break through hit “I Need A Dollar” is close to breaking the top ten right now in the U.K.

The singer has achieved a good amount of success over the past year with his sophomore album and its lead single, “I Need A Dollar.” He’s performed the single on almost every TV talk show, it’s been put to a cell phone ad, and was used as the intro song for the HBO show, How To Make It In America. His tour in Europe has not only brought more commercial success but has also given the singer more chances to show his artistry in many ways. For example, in Berlin, Blacc’s music was scored by German composer, Miki Kekenj for a very intimate event at MADE. A short look at what the finished product sounded like can be seen in the video below.[/vimeo]

Good Things out now on Stones Throw. All tour dates are listed below. After Blacc finished up in North America he’s bringing his old soul vibe up back over to Europe for more touring, including stops at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. and Hague Jazz Festival in the Netherlands.
