On their new EP, Close Cover, Strike Gently, Bike Cops sometimes sound like a classic stomp-rock band, with a rush of just-pained-enough vocals and heavy-handed percussion slapping around in polished rhythms. But then the Chicago foursome will layer in some kind of crazy fiddlin’ guitar solo, or, on a track like Wastin Time, loop in some Nashville garage spit-talk. We’ve got the premiere of the five-track EP, and just those five songs might give you enough to think about for days. Bike Cops will play Cake Shop tonight in NYC. The EP drops next week on Jurassic Pop. Until then, stream the whole thing below.
