Zachary James Ellis made some noise in Haybaby for a bit, but since he moved on in 2014, he’s been doing some stingy psych pop on the relative DL with The Adventures of the Silver Spaceman.

TAOTSS’ fourth extensively titled album, Bare Bones Part I: Oxygen is Flowing Although The Bag May Not Inflate, moves like a bedroom project flailing its arms around and realizing it’s time to get its own apartment. Maybe because it’s the band’s first album recorded mostly live, at the Silent Barn in Brooklyn. Sprung from Lou Barlow-like crinkly pop, the marauding melodies, two-or-more guitar dualing and shadowy stories move it into dark urban alley territory.

A cassette of Bare Bones Part I will be available at the release show at The Gutter in Brooklyn on December 18. But you can listen to it all now, below.
