Good news all around: We’re extending the deadline for 2011 College Radio Award Nominations to Sunday, September 18!
The CMJ College Radio Awards—the only college/non-comm radio awards nominated by and voted on by those in the industry—are back and will be bestowed upon the hard-working winners at College Day at CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival. We’ve got the classics (Music Director Of The Year, Best Use Of Limited Resources), a few favorites resurrected from years past (Sexiest Phone Voice, Most Likely To Be Your Boss In 10 Years) and one brand-new category (Outstanding Leadership In College Radio). This year’s limited-edition—and totally punk rock—awards will be provided by Print Mafia. See below for directions on how to nominate.

How To Nominate
E-mail nominations to You may only nominate one person, station or company per category; multi-entity nominations will be tossed. Also be sure to include a sentence or two stating why you think this person, station or company should be nominated. Nominations will be open until midnight Sunday, September 18. To nominate, you must be affiliated with a current CMJ New Music Report subscriber. Seriously. We check this stuff. And, yes, you may nominate your self.
Final voting will take place on-site at CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival; anyone with a CMJ badge can vote. The award ceremony will take place on College Day at CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival.
College Day is sponsored by Sounds Australia. And back again for 2011 is everyone’s oh-please-let-me-win-this-drawing drawing: one lucky college radio programmer will win a trip to Perth, Western Australia, to participate in the WAMi Festival in May 2012, courtesy of Stage And Screen Travel Services, WAM and Sounds Australia.
