The Real World XIV: San Diego cast, explained, and repetitious:Jaime: Christina from Paris redux, since Christina did not offer anywhere near the story it was thought she could. Remember C.T.'s comment, "She's a little minx?" The Bunhim-Murray braintrust considered the same thing, believed it, and got burned. Jaime better redeem, then.
Cameran: One-half Julie from New Orleans and one-half Genesis from Boston. Has the naifish, lil' bit country vibe, full stop, but unlike Julie -- or, maybe, too much like her -- is also a bit of a freak. Note her admission that she brought her vibrator. With this girl, things easily shall get interesting.
Jacquese: Malik from Back to New York. The well-adjusted, and vaguely-vanilla but still oozing style, guardian of the house. Keeps things in line by being so even-keel and mellow.
Randy: C.T. from Paris redux. 'Cause, though C.T. was infinitely more entertaining and entrancing than any RW cast-member ever, he had too much Puck and not enough TCK$ (Teck, RW:IX, Honolulu) in him. In short, quickly he became too grating for most. Thus, immediately next season, bring another Bostonian into the fold with his old-school charm, or lack thereof, and indecipherable accent, but a bit more sexiness due to a bit more softness (I mean, damn, he knows what agnosticism is; the girls, in the house, and without, should just be all-wet from that).
Frankie: First, is that short for Francesca? If so, why doesn't she go by that; it would be so much cooler. Moving on, Frankie is one-quarter Genesis, one-quarter "skater-chick" from RW: Miami, and one-half Rachel from Back to New York, and all lame. Just dump the bf you left back home, already. He's a jealous, conniving ass, and, as Cameran pointed out, "just a boy". Don't worry your gotdamned head over his insecurities. And saying that reminds me: there is also a bit of David from Seattle in Frankie, since I recall him playing games with his heart re: his relationship with a RW casting intern or something.
Robin: Amaya from Honolulu, after lipo, and Randy is her Colin. Full stop.
Brad: The obvious physical resemblance is to David from Seattle, but I think there's more Nathan, also Seattle, in him. Problem is, all indicators -- though perchance red-herrings all -- say Brad and Cameran become involved and Cameran is not this season's Irene (Frankie is, if anyone). So, I can't see Brad and Cameran mutually leading each other on, and then Brad clamming up and sending Cameran into a funk that will not lift. But I still think Brad = Nathan. I'll just have to see how things develop.
