Sorry Vixen,

I don't disagree but remember we're not really ranking...besides the pace has picked up and I'm somewhat afraid that once we get to the top 25, It'll go really fast and we'll get like 9 more Modest Mouses and key ones won't make it.

Wow. Lots of new songs for a small number of top artists.

My count is a quick, ad-hoc thing, so it might have missed a couple of three-song artists.

It's current up to the #58, the Sigur Ros tune.

Artists with 3 songs:
Aislers Set
Bjork
Breeders
Dandy Warhols
Death Cab For Cutie
Frank Black
Gang of Four
Godspeed You Black Emperor!
House of Love
Hum
Husker Du
Joy Division
Kleenex Girl Wonder
Luna
Magnetic Fields
Mogwai
New Pornographers
Pedro The Lion
PJ Harvey
Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians
Sebadoh
Shudder to Think
Sigur Ros
Sloan
Slugs
Spiritualized
Suede
Throwing Muses
Wedding Present
Ween
Wheat
Wilco
Wire
Wrens

Artists with 4 songs:
Built to Spill
Buzzcocks
Fall
Kinks
Le Tigre
Sleater-Kinney
Smiths
Stereolab
Stone Roses
Velvet Underground

Artists with 5 songs:
Afghan Whigs
Dismemberment Plan
Guided By Voices
My Bloody Valentine
Neutral Milk Hotel
Yo La Tengo

Artists with 6 songs:
Clash
Pulp
XTC

Artists with 7 songs:
Belle & Sebastian
Radiohead
Superchunk

Artists with 8 songs:
Blur
Replacements
White Stripes

Artist with 9 songs:
Sonic Youth

Artists with 10 songs:
Pavement
Pixies

Artist with 13 goddamn songs:
Modest Mouse

You know, maybe it's just me, but that seems like a lot. Perhaps we should more or less stop with the 7-song-and-up set. Those 10 artists now comprise about 9% of the list.

Amen.

Kevin :)

Beck - "Asshole"

It may not be top 100, but something from "One foot in the grave" deserves to be on this list.
