Magic Magic | Spike Hill | October 23, 2008 (CMJ Day 3)

The roster of Mushpot Records is filled with a barrage of cute bands (Buildings Breeding, Chairs In The Arno), and their showcase at Spike Hill was no exception. Headliners Magic Magic were definitely a cute five-piece band. Comprised of two guitarists, a bassist, and two drummers, the band was also able to create a really large and loud sound. The crowd responded in kind by dancing, throwing paper airplanes, and acting silly in general.

Though probably not the only CD to make it’s premiere at CMJ, Magic Magic’s self-titled debut album was available for the first time at the showcase.
