For a headlining set at The Fillmore New York At Irving Plaza, Santogold’s time on stage Friday night seemed a little short. In fact, waiting for the roadies to prepare for her, two backup dancers, and a sole DJ probably took more time than her entire performance. Still, after suffering through the abnormally long delay, Santogold did not disappoint.
Blasting through tracks off her self-titled debut album, Santogold also threw in a few other songs from her Top Ranking mixtape. The short set made sense, she threw (almost) everything she had at the sold out New York crowd. As Santogold continues out on the road, expect to see her on bills with acts like Low Vs. Diamond, Mates Of State, and Kanye West. All dates below.
