It’s a stagnant summer with Fleet Foxes, the Beastie Boys and Danger Mouse And Daniele Luppi holding down, Nos. 1, 2 and 3. Atmosphere and Rebirth Brass Band remain atop Hip-Hop and jazz, respectively, too.

But still there are a few changes afoot. Son of Malian bluesman Ali Farka Touré, Vieux Farka Touré, slides swiftly into the No. 1 position at New World with his album The Secret. At Loud Rock, all the wall from the Faroe Islands, Viking-metal master Týr’s The Lay Of Thrym comes crashing into No. 1, up 30 places from its last week’s No. 3. Amon Tobin (who has the most beautifully ludicrous stage set-up) sweeps into the top spot at RPM.
