The reign of the Strokes continues this week, with the triumphant-sounding Angles holding the top spot at Radio 200 for the second week in a row. Meanwhile, TV On The Radio’s more mellow Nine Types Of Light soared to No. 3 from No. 51 last week. Finally, legendary New Jersey band the Feelies took the top debut, with its reunion debut, Here Before, coming in at No. 45.
Over in the harder side of things in Loud Rock, Amon Amarth finally fell to No. 2 as Munich metal band Obscura’s Omnivium jockeyed for that top spot. In Hip-Hop, Zion I And The Grouch maintained its hold on No. 1 with Heroes In The Healing Of A Nation in its fifth straight week on the charts. Tirtha’s self-titled album is still keeping the top spot in jazz, as is Bibio’s Mind Bokeh in RPM. Cambodian pop group Dengue Fever’s album Cannibal Courtship debuts in New World at No. 7, where Femi Kuti is still at No. 1.
