The Decemberists just won’t give it a rest: the Portland outfit is, yet again, No. 1.

College radio sure liked DeVotchKa this week (and so did we). Denver’s eastern European folk-pop group climbed 114 places and neatly situated itself at No. 13. John Vanderslice‘s White Wilderness is the top debut, just sneaking into the top 30 at No. 28.

Most of the genre charts are consistent with last week, but the bloody battle for most brutal rages on at Loud Rock. This week Finnish power metal band Stratovarius kicks last week’s No. 1, Times Of Grace, to shit. (Or it just bumps it down to No. 2, but that’s waaaay less metal.)
