Mexican pop/jazz artist Ximena Sariñana has announced the release of her self-titled English-language debut for August 2 (Warner Bros.). Sariñana’s lead single, “Different” will hit the airwaves on June 7 amidst her run of spring tours with Sara Bareilles, Ray LaMontagne and Fitz And The Tantrums.

Sariñana released her first Spanish-language solo album, Mediocre in 2008, scoring her two Latin Grammys as well as a US Grammy nomination, and debuting at number one in her home country of Mexico. Not to be outdone by her music accolades, Sariñana is also an accomplished actor, starring in telenovelas as well as Mexican films. She even earned the title of Best Supporting Actress by the Mexican Film Critics and Press Board.

Fronting a successful indie band Feliz No Cumpleaños and playing at this year’s SXSW, Sariñana is no stranger to the stage. She will be playing tracks off her new album on the spring tour through North America that begins today and runs through early June.
