Vertical Scratchers - Daughter Of Everything

Vertical Scratchers – Daughter Of Everything

This week, the L.A. duo Vertical Scratchers has not only graced us with their debut album, Daughter Of Everything (via Merge Records), but has also released a music video for the side 2 opener, Kingdom Come. It’s fitting the video takes place on a beach, because the song itself has a surf-rock Wavves or Surfer Blood feel to it. But the prime movers in Vertical Scratchers go back to previous waves. John Schmersal was in the early-aughts electro-pop band, Enon, and has also played with Brainiac, Caribou and Crooks on Tape; and Christian Beaulieu was in Cali art-punks, Triclops! Not that that’s so exciting per se, it’s just they used an exclamation point in their band name. This new collab is exciting though, so check out the video and upcoming tour dates below.
