Melody's Echo Chamber News, Melody's Echo Chamber Video, Melody's Echo Chamber CMJ
Melody’s Echo Chamber, the project of Paris-based artist Melody Prochet, writes songs that sound as though they slipped though some candy-colored alternate dimensional portal, so it makes sense that the video for the dreamy psych-rock track “I Follow You” looks like a technicolor dreamcoat. The guitar-driven slice of trance-pop comes off of Prochet’s self-titled debut, which is due out September 25 via Fat Possum.

In the clip Prochet goes for a swim that turns into a kaleidoscopic vision quest. You see fish, birds, horses, tigers and probably some other animals that I missed amidst all of the shifting paint effects. It gets pretty hallucinatory, but luckily a big guitar solo cuts in toward the end and brings you back to Earth. Watch the video and check out the group’s upcoming tour dates with the Raveonettes below.
