Last night CMJ 2012 breakout act Icona Pop performed as a featured guest on your mom’s favorite prime-time display of garish sequins and stage makeup, Dancing With The Stars. The Swedish duo played “I Love It” in front of an audience somewhere in the 16 million range—they sounded great and got the crowd going—with a display of neon that would put Hipster Runoff to shame. Naturally, some lyrics got the G-rated, network-television edit (“Threw your stuff into a bag and pushed it down the stairs” and “You’re from the ’70s but I’m a ’90s chick“), and then there were DWTS host Tom Bergeron‘s thoughts on the performance: “They make me glad I bought stock in glow sticks!” He’s a hair late to that party, but you can dance to the video below.
