Chicago hip-hop phenom Chance The Rapper’s latest mixtape Acid Rap is exactly what its title indicates. More intricate and mature than last year’s 10 Day, Acid Rap is a colorful sonic feast, rife with jazz-inspired detours, psychedelic production, idiosyncratic hooks and introspective verses. It dazzles on all accounts.

One of the mixtape’s more sorrowful tracks “Everybody’s Something” now has a video. Directed by frequent Chance-collaborator Austin Vesely, the video illuminates Acid Rap’s stark dichotomy between hallucinating and facing morbid realities. Throughout the clip Chance is transposed over both a galaxy of scintillating colors and found documentation of Chicago life. Check it out below.
