Beach House has released a new performance video titled Forever Still, featuring a spectral rendition of four different tracks off of the band’s 2012 album, Bloom. Performed from sunset to dawn, with split-ups of clashing thunder, roaring freeways and luminous beams, the whole thing is set on location near Tornillo, TX, where the band recorded its fourth LP.
The short film is presented by Pitchfork TV, and it draws inspiration from Pink Floyd’s Live At Pompeii, taking an unusual setting where the ethereal and dreamlike songs feel encased within the landscape. With minimal edits and sweeping long shots, Forever Still is seen through smooth shadows from which the music seems to hang.
