The honorary first lady of rockabilly, Wanda Jackson, has announced that she will be hitting the road once again in support of her recent Jack White produced album, The Party Ain’t Over. Though now in her mid-seventies, the singer with the legendary wail still apparently knows how to rock a crowd, having sold out four straight shows earlier this year here in the US. The live dates that she put on last month featured White’s house band, the Third Man Band, with Jack White himself even stepping onto the stage for a few. For these upcoming shows, she will be touring with her own backup band.



Jackson has been making big moves on our charts here at CMJ. Two weeks ago, she landed in at number 177 on Radio 200. However, just last week she jumped up to number 21, leaping almost three quarters of the way up the chart.
