“Post-Pop-Alyptic” is what California-based band Greenhorse files itself under. Fitting because this video of the band at Burning Man has a certain Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome feel to it. Bandmates Chris Hackman, Joel Saur and Shawn Day wander around the salt flats of Nevada’s Black Rock Desert where the festival is held every year. They take in the sights: a parade of costumed ladies on stilts, a bus shaped like a bug with a patio on top and, of course, the giant burning effigy of the festival’s namesake. “Happiness,” the track to our guided audio tour, is sufficiently tripped out. Rippling synth chords, space noises and drums of the Chemical Brothers variety marry sound to image.
