After ditching the studio polish for a more homemade, representative sound in 2010, noise-pop band Unicycle Loves You continues the DIY streak on its third album, and debut on Mecca Lecca, titled Failure.
 
Failure will be released on February 14. Like on the group’s previous album, frontman Jim Carroll took on the songwriter and producer roles. The new album is set to be Unicycle’s heaviest, although that shouldn’t be a deterrent because Failure will still feature the pop aesthetics of previous favorites like “Highway Robbery” and “Mirror Mirror.”
 
The Chicago-based trio will also be touring the country in support of the new album with performances planned at SXSW. Check below for those dates and the band’s terrifically low-budget video for “Piranha” below.
