New Zealand quintet the Naked And Famous is inching closer to the latter, as it embarks on their first North American tour. Starting with a SXSW date in March, the band will open for Foals and Freelance Whales as it attempts to break in the States.

Already popular abroad, the Naked And Famous will tour the US and Canada in support of its debut album, Passive Me, Aggressive You, out March 15, and its synth-pop single “Young Blood.” The band is poised for a breakout, already having signed to Universal and being featured on British best of 2010 lists. But by the end of the year will the Naked And Famous be famous or naked in America?
