Sonic Youth frontman and recent bachelor Thurston Moore’s latest project, Chelsea Light Moving, has announced a March 5 release date for its self-titled debut. Consisting of Moore’s frequent collaborators guitarist Keith Wood, bassist Samara Lubelski and drummer John Moloney, the band will also embark on a U.S. tour this spring receiving support from CAVE, Talk Normal, Grass Widow and Merchandise.

Chelsea Light Moving came around last summer, releasing several singles as well as teasing with a handful of live dates. They the band hit the studio in Western Massachusetts to record the LP, which will hit shelves via Matador. While nothing can truly fill the void left by Sonic Youth’s absence, hopefully this can tide us over while they work things out. Because they are working things out…right, guys?
