The Brooklyn indie-rock vets of the National have announced that their sixth studio album will come out this May on 4AD. The new release will coincide with a busy summer for the group that includes a joint tour with fellow Brooklynites the Dirty Projectors, with a stop in Manchester, TN, for an appearance at Bonnaroo in June. An additional date of interest includes their hometown performance at Barclays Center with Youth Lagoon.
 
While you wait to hear a taste from the National’s new album, you can stream a new track called “There’s A Fire” from the Dirty Projectors, which was previously only available as a limited edition b-side to their “Offspring Are Blank” 7-inch.
