Musician Khaela Maricich and installation and sound artist Melissa Dyne, aka CMJ 2010 band the Blow, have been hard at work producing new material for their upcoming self-titled release, and they plan to reveal some of their new songs this month during five shows around the Northeast. Having deja vu?
Maricich had this to say about the long production process in a press release: “Producing diamonds with our bare hands might have been faster.” The two rented out their Brooklyn apartment and set to work in an Atlantic City hotel, a Poconos condo styled after a 1970s treehouse, a New Hampshire lakeside cabin, a Vermont Swiss-style ski chalet and now an LES recording studio for the final polish. The mini tour will kick off in Northhampton, MA, and end in Manhattan. Watch the Blow’s minimal teaser video from last summer for “Ask Me,” a demo off the upcoming release, below.
