Baltimore art-rock quartet Thank You has released a wild new animated video for its equally wild single, “Pathetic Magic.” The video is a psychedelic affair, making use of magic markers, a rotating cutout of an elephant and a turquoise-filtered clip of a young woman in robes trying to resuscitate a second young woman in robes. Seriously, if you can figure out what’s going on here, please let us know.

The high-strung but nuanced track, which appeared on the band’s latest LP, Golden Worry (Thrill Jockey, 2011), is out on a 12-inch that includes remixes from Dan Deacon, Jason Urick and Asa Osborne. At the moment, Thank You is touring Europe, and will hit up some festival dates before taking on an opening slot for a week-plus of shows with Battles.
