A couple of days ago, you heard about how Queens venue Silent Barn was burgled and trashed over the weekend, causing damages and losses in the tens of thousands of dollars. Now, in the latest episode of bad breaks for local music heroes, garage-rockers are reporting on Twitter that they had some gear stolen from their van two nights ago, right in their hometown of Nashville. Among the items taken were a guitar combo amp, a bass amp head, and singer/guitarist Jake Orrall’s favored electric guitar (you know, the one with the tuning pegs for the top three strings deliberately missing).

If you have information that would be helpful to the search, make sure to contact the band members and let them know. The group posted a full list of the stolen gear on its blog, so if you’re in the Nashville area, keep your eyes peeled for these items:

’80s Peavey Bandit 1×12 Combo Amp
  • The red “on” LED is chipped
  • There’s a scorpion speaker that is uncommon for the Peavey Bandit

    • Acoustic b600h 600 Watt Bass Head
  • Serial number 11020398

    • Ibanez Guitar
  • Missing three tuning pegs
  • Duct tape and gaff tape on body
  • Sharpie on body that says “JA”
  • Red sharpie on back of headstock”

  • It’s never an opportune time for theft, but at least this happened while the band’s usually hectic touring schedule is in a relative lull. Jeff heads out on the road next month in support of its recent LP, We Are The Champions, so make sure to go out and show these guys some love if the band is coming through your town. In the meantime, we wish the Orrall brothers the best of luck in recovering their gear and getting back on their feet before the tour.
