Los Angeles director Eric Green has launched a Kickstarter in an effort to raise funds for his new music documentary about the rise of shoegaze, Beautiful Noise. The film will feature interviews, concert footage, home videos and other clips from influential bands like Cocteau Twins, the Jesus And The Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine.
 
The documentary has taken Green eight years to put together and is already in post-production but requires more funds to pay for clearances and licensing costs. Other bands and artists featured include Slowdive, Lush, Curve, Swervedriver, Ride, Chapterhouse, Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, Robert Smith and more.
 
Depending on how much you donate, you can earn an autographed poster, a limited edition DVD of the documentary, your name in the “special thanks” section of the end credits, or an invite to the festival screening or premiere. Check out the trailer, below.
