Raphael Saadiq, the throwback soul singer who makes a career continuing where Motown left off, has announced a US tour in support of his upcoming album, Stone Rollin’, out March 22 via Columbia Records. Saadiq is bringing back the refreshing blend of old R&B and snappy dress that earned him three 2008 Grammy nominations for his album The Way I See It. The tour will include festival stops at Texas’s SXSW and California’s Coachella.

Saadiq’s third solo album, Stone Rollin’, features cuts like “Good Man,” a slow burn R&B jam featuring Taura Stinson and “Just Don’t,” which features Yukimi Nagano of the Swedish electronic outfit Little Dragon. On top of all of that guest star razzle-dazzle is is Raphael Saadiq’s voice, which Berry Gordy wishes he could have had circa 1971.
