After 11 years, progressive funk-rock band Primus returns with Green Naugahyde, due out September 13. The group will head on tour in the same month in support of the latest studio album. Titled An Evening With Primus, the tour will consist of two full sets and begins September 23 in Boston as the band makes its way toward the West Coast, ending in October in Los Angeles.

Green Naugahyde, produced and engineered by Les Claypool in his personal studio, expands on Primus’ signature and incomparable sound as the original lineup of Claypool, Larry LaLonde and Jay Lane continues to produce complex and whimsical tracks. The band’s 27-year career contributes to the success of such a boundary-pushing group, and new and old fans will have the chance to experience Primus’ impressive cannon of music live this fall.
