Hello, Festival Poster Season! Primavera Sound has announced its line-up, via Twitter and YouTube no less, for May 22-26 event taking place in Barcelona’s Parc Del Forum. The bands are top-notch, as evidenced by the headliners Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, The Jesus And Mary Chain, Phoenix, the newly reunited Postal Service, My Bloody Valentine, Fiona Apple and the Wu-Tang Clan (?!). To Primavera’s credit, even the mid-sized-font artists like Titus Andronicus, Swans, Shellac and the Breeders would command large-font placement at most festivals.
Many artists on the bill has notable years playing CMJ 2012 (I’m looking at you, Metz, Mac Demarco, FIDLAR, Foxygen, Local Natives, King Tuff and DIIV!) proving that as we move down the lists—Orchestre Rythmo De Cotonou, Dope Body, Merchandise and Matthew E. White—quality is never jeopardized.
Mondo Sonoro also reports that the fest’s booze sponsor will be Hieneken, whereas last year it was San Miguel in the hands of all show-goers.
