New York-based indie-pop quintet the Pains Of Being Pure At Heart has quickly established its presence in the music world since the release of its self-titled debut LP on Slumberland in 2009. Immediately following the release of the band’s second full-length album, Belong, this March, the Pains is currently on a world tour and has just announced additional North American dates through the summer. Having booked constant shows from March until August in both North America and Europe, it is clear that the Pains is in high demand.

The Pains of Being Pure At Heart – Belong by Slumberland Records

Joining the band during the production process of Belong was the mixing team of Flood (Depeche Mode, U2) and Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins), creating the perfect environment to unleash the Pains’ powerful depth and sincere pop melodies. As twangy synths and sweetly chanting vocals balance with overpowering guitar distortion echoes, it becomes obvious that the Pains has officially found its sound.
