Oh No with the Alchemist as Gangrene

Oh No with the Alchemist as Gangrene

For his newest rhyme-spitting, beat-chopping craft project, Madlib‘s kid brother Oh No turned to an unlikely black orator for inspiration: Dolemite. The upcoming Ohnomite LP will feature 19 tracks chopped and screwed with samples from comedian/musician Rudy Ray Moore‘s soundtrack archives with special focus on the f-bomb-ridden urban sonnets of Moore’s blacksploitation icon, Dolemite.

Besides the film pimp of legend, Oh No pulled help from an army of guest stars including MF Doom, Evidence and recent collaborator the Alchemist to ensure a truly ass-whoopin’ ensemble. Ohnomite is due out June 5, but you can tease yourself with the full tracklist below and the following stirring selection of Dolemite’s uniquely funky flow.
