British rock band Noah And The Whale has announced the release of its third album and first in two years, Last Night On Earth for March 15 via Island Def Jam.

Lead singer, Charles Fink sited many influences on the record including his experience directing a short film inspired by NATW’s last album, The First Days Of Spring, and his time spent writing songs in a Synagogue in East London. One thing that is undeniable is the classic rock influence that can be heard on their recent single “L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.” (video below). The verse is strongly reminiscent of the Kinks’ “Lola” while the soulful shout-along chorus sounds a lot like one of John Mellencamp’s best.
