It’s another week of unexpected chart shake-ups and shake-downs. Pretty, Pretty Swedish Princess Lykke Li saddles into the top spot with a sophomore album that’s decidedly more beat-stomping-ly badass than her debut. Dum Dum Girls, the previous No. 1 occupant, falls to the third position as New York rockers the Strokes move to No. 2. But it’s really the Raveonettes that ignites the chart this week. The duo’s fifth studio album, Raven In The Grave, moves an astounding 176 places at Radio 200; it’s now No. 24, up from No. 200 last week.
Tag-team Zion I And The Grouch is now heading up hip-hop with its second collaborative album, Heroes In The Healing Of A Nation. Tirtha, down-and-out last week, returns to the top of Jazz. Cut Copy, Los Chicharrons and Amon Amarth stand strong for yet another week at RPM, New World and Loud Rock, respectively. Alan Sparhawk-led Duluthians Low gets its high on as Most Added, beating out the Kills by a hair.
