Philadelphia soft-rock soothsayer Dave Hartley, bassist for War On Drugs and the imagination behind Nightlands, has released a video for “I Fell In Love With A Feeling,” a track off the his new record, Oak Island, which dropped this week via Secretly Canadian.

The metallic face, transforming 3-D floating cube and sunny tune all come together really nicely in this short video, which premiered via Pitchfork. According to the press release, director David Kessler chose the robotic-futuristic route because, “Nightlands’ music seems to me to capture a very human existence in a post-human form within a future landscape.” Sounds about right, but you can judge for yourself below.

Nightlands’ Oak Island came out this week, and Hartley is set to perform his new songs on tour throughout North America later this month. Check out those dates.
