Who said that zines were only for ’90s riot grrrl bands? Domino and Ribbon—two household names among independent music labels—are teaming up to release a zine that includes five Flexi discs of previously unheard tunes by the likes of Dirty Projectors, Cass McCombs and more. Electronic wunderkind John Maus has contributed a track to the zine as well: a re-worked, refurbished version of demo track “No Title (Molly),” streaming below.
The release marks both labels’ contributions to Record Store Day, which is going down April 21. In addition to new tunes, the zine will also contain art, poetry, short stories and other goodies all by Domino/Ribbon artists.
