Ready for a crude blast from the recent past? It’s now been 20 years since the 1993 release of New Bomb Turks’ !!DESTROY-OH-BOY!!, a raucous blast of a punk album that deserves a re-release and is now getting it. On July 23rd Crypt Records will release a 20th anniversary deluxe edition of the LP along with the six song 1992 demos 10-inch, Tapeworm Blues, that will feature two never-heard original tracks “Tapeworm Blues” and “Drug Chicks.” The demo was recorded just four months prior to the Columbus basement slipshod sessions that conceived the classic !!DESTROY-OH-BOY!!

New Bomb Turks upended the punk genre in the early 90s with effortless authenticity, making music that deserved to be cranked up while everyone shut up and enjoyed. On July 29 there will be a 20th anniversary show in Columbus, Ohio for the reissue of a record that any quiet policy abiding dorm room won’t be able to handle. Tickets for the show are available here. Listen to “Up For A Downslide” off !!DESTROY-OH-BOY!! below.
