Neon Indian, Alan Palomo’s chillwave alter ego, is set to release its second album, Era Extraña, September 13 via Static Tongues, Palomo’s own imprint. The album is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2009 debut, Psychic Chasms, which played a large part in forming and defining the chillwave genre. Written in Helsinki, Finland, the new album is structured around a three-part instrumental: “Heart: Attack,” “Heart: Decay” and “Heart: Release.” For a welcome break from the summer heat, check out the snow-filled, black-and-white video for the middle section, “Heart: Decay,” below:

Neon Indian will launch a month-long North American tour right after the album’s release in September. Check below for tour dates.
