Local Natives have released a video for their song “Breakers.” The track is the first single off of the band’s upcoming sophomore album, Hummingbird, which was co-produced by Aaron Dessner of the National, recorded in Brooklyn and will see a January 29 release on Frenchkiss/Infectious. The band co-directed the video along with Jaffe Zinn, a short-filmmaker and member of the band Folded Light. The video captures a darker tone, emphasized by the gray sky, white-masked men, a dead body and mustachioed guitarist Taylor Rice constantly getting caught rolling on the ground with the rewind button stuck.
