Louisville post-punks Young Widows started cultivating hype for their forthcoming album, Easy Pain, back in February with the release of Kerosene Girl, a mega-distorted bruiser of a song. Today, they’ve given us another gritty reason to be excited in the form of King Sol.
 
The driving goth-punk intro is similar to that of the previous single, but somehow the trio finds a way to dig in deeper and bombard you with even more augural, thundering bass, drums and Evan Patterson’s apocalyptic snarls. Easy Pain is due out May 13 via Temporary Residence, but you can check out the new track as well as the dates when you can catch these guys live below.
