Scottish masters of brooding indie The Twilight Sad have just announced the details of their fourth album Nobody Wants To Be Here And Nobody Wants To Leave, the follow-up to 2012’s excellent No One Can Ever Know. The album will see a U.S. release on October 28 via Fat Cat. With this announcement comes the first taste of the record, a brilliant cut called There’s A Girl In The Corner. The mechanic, ominous tune takes what we’ve come to expect from The Twilight Sad and adds some gorgeous water droplet synths to take us to new emotional heights.

The Twilight Sad spent the last seven months touring behind the recent reissue of their now-classic debut, Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters, playing that album front-to-back all over the U.K. In addition to a string of North American dates with We Were Promised Jetpacks, the band has announced that, on the eve of the tour, they will also perform Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters in its entirety at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade NYC on October 16.

Until then, stream There’s A Girl In The Corner and check out the tracklist for Nobody Wants To Be Here And Nobody Wants To Leave, along with the band’s upcoming tour dates, below.
