The Men are following up this year’s New Moon LP with an equally dusky-sounding EP, Campfire Songs. The EP was actually recorded around a campfire in Big Indian, NY, so you know these guys aren’t messing around. It’s out October 15 via Sacred Bones, but in advance of that, the band has shared one of its tracks.

The instrumental, Turn Your Color, is one of two new songs on the EP, which will also feature B-sides and acoustic versions of New Moon cuts. It sounds like a campfire song all right, featuring a lightly plucked guitar and sleepy, heavy drums. The only thing missing is a bag of marshmallows, which, if you think about it, is really a suggestion that everyone could benefit from.
