pattern-is-movement
After year’s of silence, Philadelphia’s Pattern Is Movement is finally going to release some new music. The self-titled album will be released via Home Tapes on April 1, and will be the first outing of the band as a duo. Andrew Thiboldeaux, who handles the keys and bass, and drummer Christopher Ward prove their instrumental and studio prowess on their newest track, River, which transforms from New Wave bliss into soulful indie-hop. Drums echo, synths percolate and Thiboldeuax’s harmonies and Autotune add the final textures to an already rich track. The band also announced a month-long tour with Yellow Ostrich which will be the duo’s first movement since 2008. Check out River (via Spin), the track list for their forthcoming release and all those tour dates below.
