Kami de Chukwu just dropped another gruff-tongued gem, EAT, off his upcoming album Smoke, due early next year. If you’ve been keeping your ear on the Chicago kid, you know his pushy, lung-crushing flow is never turned off. And EAT is no exception. The track opens with “It’s a hard knock life, then you pass away,” and goes on for two quick-but-well-seized minutes of tough love. His mangled rhymes and smooth melodies have made him a favorite here at CMJ, and his song Droptop Vision is on our Best of 2013 Mixtape this month. Listen to EAT, below.
