If you’re having a party this weekend, you’ve probably been stressing over creating the perfect soundtrack for weeks: it has to show off your superior musical knowledge while still appealing to all your guests. Lucky for you, we’ve got something that can help you sleep a little easier tonight. In the follow-up to their Charli XCX-written hit, I Love It, Swedish electro-dance duo and CMJ 2012 breakout stars Icona Pop have released Girlfriend, a new track off a yet-to-be-announced album.

After some bouncy “na na na nas,” members Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo jump in on a pulsing bass line and teasing snare with “All I need in this life of sin/is me and my girlfriend.” It’s not the most original sentiment, but then again, really catchy pop songs aren’t known for their thought-provoking, existential lyrics. We’ve started to rely on Icona Pop to keep the good times going, and they’re delivering. Like someone probably said once, “Ain’t no party like an Icona Pop party.” You can grab your friends (of any kind), check out the group’s tour dates, and stream “Girlfriend,” below.
