Earlier in the summer, rock dame of darkness Chelsea Wolfe released “The Warden,” the first single from her upcoming album, Pain Is Beauty, set for release on September 3 via Sargent House. And to quell some of the agonizing wait until its release, Wolfe has just dropped a second track, We Hit A Wall.

Where The Warden takes a turn down synthesizer lane, making for a track that highlights her breathy vocals, We Hit A Wall takes the road less traveled towards the clearly haunted house, ignoring advice to turn back around, sounding fearless as it heads for doom. The single finds Wolfe getting even darker than before—if that’s even possible. Listen to We Hit A Wall below and try not to spook yourself out.
