Last month, the recently reunited Afghan Whigs released a new single, Algiers, off their upcoming album, Do To The Beast, which will break their 16-year hiatus. Today, the band is at it again with the release of its new track, The Lottery. The track has a huge, arena-rock sound, while still allowing itself to sound vulnerable. Frontman Greg Dulli’s voice delivers all the power and grunginess that helped to define the band’s classic sound, but reaches a new level of maturity and fullness we haven’t heard before. Do To The Beast lands April 15 on Sub Pop. Listen to The Lottery below.
