New Zealand purveyor of skewed indie melodies Liam Finn is throwing down on a new North American tour, in support of his as-yet-untitled, as-yet-unreleased new album that will be released this spring via Yep Roc. Finn is at work on the follow-up to his peppy, poppy 2008 debut I’ll Be Lightning, which was a 70 minute Elliot Smith-nodding ode to guitars and vocal harmonies. The album was generally well-received and led to an tour opening for Eddie Vedder.

Finn, the son of Split Enz and Crowded House frontman Neil Finn, will hit up a month of dates with a full band before moving on, and those include stop stops at SXSW, so get pumped.
