Resident Advisor, it’s the downright truth. The site has put in the hard yards and drummed up a considerable rep, with this year marking its 10th birthday. The ‘X’ stands for the headliner, who is said to remain a mystery until the very moment he or she takes the stage. It may sound cliche to call something a worldwide authoritative voice over electronic music, but for
The party lineups reflect artists’ gratitude for RA by way of their weight; the only U.S. stop, happening this Saturday at New York City’s Le Poisson Rouge, features one half of Digital Mystikz/DMZ boss man Mala, Chicago house/soul expert Peven Everett (playing live), Toronto’s King Sunshine (who is also playing live) and Japan’s Masashi Nakazawa (awesome name, BTW).
The whole thing has been orchestrated so well that each party will also have its own specially created, limited edition poster. The RA X New York poster was designed by Shackleton’s favorite artist, Manchester-based Zeke Clough, who designed artwork for the now-defunct but still very awesome Skull Disco.
We have one of the beautiful screen-printed, limited edition (one of 75, we believe) posters to give away. Just enter your details below by this Friday, August 19, at 5 p.m. EST for a chance to nab it. The winner will be notified by email.
This competition is now closed. Thanks to all who entered!
